Laser cladding piston rod

Laser cladding is a surface engineering technique used to enhance material performance. In this process, a high-energy laser beam is used to melt and fuse a specialized feedstock material onto a substrate, forming a dense, metallurgically bonded coaƟng. This resulƟng layer imparts superior surface properƟes, significantly improving the component's resistance to wear, corrosion, and high-temperature oxidaƟon. Following the cladding operaƟon, a final finishing grind is applied to achieve the desired accuracy and surface smoothness.
