The Piston Rod Assembly is a core primary classification within hydraulic and pneumatic systems, referring to an integrated functional component primarily assembled from precision parts, including the piston rod body, seals, guides, and connecting elements. Its fundamental function is to efficiently convert the fluid pressure energy within the system into mechanical energy, enabling precise linear reciprocating motion, which in turn drives the external load to perform work. The main body of the piston rod typically undergoes high-standard surface hardening treatments (such as hard chrome plating or ceramic coating) to ensure superior wear resistance and corrosion resistance when subjected to high speed, high pressure, and high-frequency motion. Concurrently, the seals within the assembly (such as the rod seals and piston seals) are critical for maintaining system pressure and preventing fluid leakage both internally and externally. The material selection for these seals must be tailored to the specific operating temperature, pressure rating, and fluid medium to ensure the reliability and service life of the entire hydraulic or pneumatic actuator.
